Grocery Price Check

Is this a good price?

Enter what you see in the store. We convert it to a price per pound (or each, dozen or gallon) and compare it with recent advertised sale prices in grocery ads, from USDA data through the week of October 19, 2026.

How to read this: ad prices are averages of what stores advertise in weekly sale flyers, weighted by how many stores USDA reports running each price. They show what a good sale price looks like, not which store has it, and not every brand or package matches. "Recent" means the weekly averages from the last 4 weeks; the range uses the weekly averages from the last 52 weeks. The low line is set each week from the same season in the previous 3 years, scaled to recent prices, and tested on past weeks: how. Items mostly sold in season can have few or no recent reports. How we calculate these numbers.
